The Turtle Boy

Synopsis:
Two best friends, Timmy and Pete, go up to the pond one afternoon. They see a weird boy there dunking his feet in the water and letting turtles nipple at his flesh. Rattled the boys run away. After Timmy tells his parents what they saw, it starts off a chain reaction and pulls up neighborhood secrets.

My Take:
This novella is a quick read. It draws you in with the friendship of youth and pulls at your heart with suspected child abuse. About half way through it turns into an eerie ghost tale.
