Premise:
A biographer of a famous detective, during the 1800's in a small France village, searches for clues to get revenge on the slained detective and bring the murderer to justice.
My Take:
A lot of movie has Depardieu running around like a madman trying to solve a murder and chase down the masked figure responsible. Though the movie beautifully filmed and has lots of flash, it got to be a little redudnant for me.
