The Seasoning House (2012)

Starring: Rosie Day, Sean Pertwee, Kevin Howarth
Director: Paul Hyett

Premise:
A scarred and mute teenager girl is abducted from her small town during wartime and forces into work at a brothel. She ends up as a maid. After one of the soldiers abuse her friend, she kills him and is now on the run from the sadistic general.

My Take:
Most of the movie takes place in the brothel with the outstanding Sean Pertwee chasing her down through secret passages. The movie takes time building up characters and situations. Though it never goes over the top at times it's still uncomfortable to watch.

Rating: In the middle

Watched: Hoopla
