Lillith's Hell (2015)

Starring: Roggero Dedato, Vincenzo Petrarolo,
Director: Vincenzo Petrarolo

Premise:
A filmmaker tries to pull off a horror movie with realism in a house that has its own secrets.

My Take:
The movie has some good gore but lays a little too much on the viewer way too quickly before wrapping it all up.

Rating: Warning

Francesca (2015)

Starring: Raul Gerderlini, Silvina Frippaldi, Luis Emilio Rodriguez
Director: Luciano Onetti

Premise:
Detectives try to find a serial killer murdering "impure" girls. This case is also linked to a 15 year old case of a missing girl.

My Take:
This is a strange, modern giallo that throws a lot back at its predecessors.

Director: Lamberto Bava

Premise:

A rather uninteresting giallo with lots a nudity and the token over the top deranged killer.

Hyde's Secret Nightmare (2011)

Starring: Claudio Zanelli, Roberta Gemma
Director: Domiziano Cristopharo

Premise:
An impotent scientist tries to find a cure for his condition by experimenting on dead body's. Successful, he tests it out on himself with unexpected results.

My Take:
Somewhere between the graphic, hardcore sex scenes there is a Jekyll and Hyde type story with a twist. The movie felt way to long for what was happening.  The end result feels like an odd mix of horror and porn, with the makers not knowing which way they really want to take the story.

The Ogre (1988)

AKA: Demons III: The Ogre

Starring:Virginia Bryant, Sabrina Ferrilli
Director: Lamberto Bava

Premise:
A family moves into an Italian mansion where the mother is haunted by nightmares from her childhood.

My Take:
Well the movie has nothing to do with the Demons franchise. I'm fairly sure it was tacked on as a marketing tool for Italian television. The story is decent and so is the monster.

Director: Ricardo Freda

Premise:
An actor who killed his father as a youth brings his girlfriend to his home estate for the weekend to meet his mother. Old memories and truths and death +await.

My Take:
Awkward sex scenes, Oedipus complex, and lots of confusing fill this hard to find giallo.

Violent Shit: The Movie (2015)

Starring: Enzo G. Castellari, Luigi Cozzi
Director: Luigi Pastore

Premise:
Gruesome murders plague the city of Rome. An inspector thinks it's the work of notorious serial killer Karl the Butcher.

My Take:
Unless an orgy with dismembered body parts is in your wheelhouse maybe stay clear of this uninteresting serial killer movie.

Giallo In Venice (1979)

Starring:Leonara Fani, Jeff Blynn
Director: Mario Landi

Premise:
A police inspector is investigating a double murder of a married couple. He discovers the husband a sexual deviant. Soon more body pile up causing the detective frustration.

My Take:
A sexual deviant runs amok in Venice. So does a serial killer. And a detective tries to figure it out. The movie has many sex scenes that run too long and most are violent in nature. It takes away from what little story there is in the movie. It's a sleazy mess.

Contamination (1980)

Starring: Ian McCulloch, Louise Marleau. Marino Mase
Director: Luigi Cozzi

Premise:
A ship enters New York containing a strange egg looking thing that infects and kills people once it's bursts open. A team of researches must find out it's origins.

My Take:
Sort of a low budget, Italian, Alien ripoff (pods, eggs, contamination) except the story is set on Earth and the alien was brought back with an astronaut who went to Mars. The movie managed to keep my interest though I was unsatisfied with the results.

Rating: Warning (maybe slightly better)

Your Vice Is A Locked Room And Only I Have The Key (1972)

Starring: Edwige Fenech, Anita Strindberg, Luigi Pistilli
Director: Sergio Martino

Premise:
Bodies start stacking up around a grieving, washed up writer writer and his wife.

My Take:
While it's not one of the best giallo's of the time period the movie is still worth a watch, if nothing else for the striking Edwige Fenech. There is not much to the mystery and is more just one red herring after another until the climax.

Rating: In the middle

Meridian: Kiss of the Beast (1990)

AKA: The Raving

Starring: Sherilynn Fenn, Charlie Spradling
Director: Charles Band

Premise:
After inheriting her father's castle in Italy, an American student finds out her family her cursed and she is the next in line.

My Take:
It's sort of a standard fair with it's story. There's sort of a romance story that coincides with the family curse. As with most Charles Band movies expect nudity and a high cheesiness factor.

Five Dolls For An August Moon (1970)

Starring: Edwige Fenech
Director: Mario Bava

Premise:
A group of friends head out for a weekend on a remote island, only to start dying off one at time.

My Take:
The biggest problem with the movie is the unlikeable characters. Therefore you dont really care about them getting murdered or who is doing it.

Starring: Barbara Bach, Joseph Cotten, Richard Johnson
Director: Sergio Martino

Premise:
A group of prisoners survive a shipwreck only to end up on an island with a scientist who is creating his own race of mutant men.

Sort of the standard fair in the sub-genre which just isn't that interesting.

House At the Edge of the Park (1980)

Starring: David Hess, Annie Belle
Director: Ruggero Deodato

Premise:
Two guys crash a party and soon their violent intentions begin.

My Take:
A decent flick with David Hess at his creepy best. The suspense, uneasy situations, and nudity are ramped up. There's also a decent little final scene.
