Stranger Things, Season 1 (2016)

Starring: Wynonna Ryder, David Harbour, Matthew Modine, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaen Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton

Premise:
A kid goes missing. His mother goes over the edge as she swears he's communicating with her through items in the house. His three best friends start trying to figure out what happened. They find a mysterious young girl in the wood and befriend her. Could a government facility on the outskirts of town be the reason for all these mishaps. The sheriff is determined to find out.

My Take:
Believe the hype. It is real. I cant say enough good things about this outstanding series. Not only are there hommages galore to classic horror and sci fi flicks, but the story itself keeps the viewer hanging on every scene. Almost every character has a great and complete arc within the story. Crisp directions and at time bat shit craziness.

Rating: Instant Classic

Watched: Netflix Instant
