My Take:
There's a little bit of everything tossed into this flick and not of all it works well together either. Surprisingly the movie has aged well since it was made.

My Take:
The movie does a great job at connecting with the characters and feeling for the kids in their individual situations. And when the terror comes, it comes fast. It's well done adaptation of the beloved source material.

Premise:

My Take:
A slow, prodding remake of a slow, prodding original Ganja & Hess. There's enough to keep the viewer interested. It tries to be a sexual, art house flick but ends up being too boring. Watch the original Ganja & Hess instead it's more interesting.

My Take:
I have never seen the original movie and maybe something was lost in the translation, but this flick was rather boring and mostly fails with creating the suspense this type of story needs. While not completely horrible, it doesn't add much to the ghost genre.

Rosemary's Baby (2014)

Premise:
An American couple in Paris move into an old building where the tenants may be a Satanic cult who want her to be the mother of a very special baby.

My Take:
There are a number minor differences from both the original movie and the novel. The core of the story is the same though. Personally if they were going to update the story into modern times, they should have updated the main character to be more of a modern day women. Instead the character feels out of place. And while Zoe Saldana does a great job with what was given to hear the movie falls flat because of this.
