Ghost Shark 2: Urban Jaws (2015)

Starring: Johnny Hall, Campbell Cooley
Director: Johnny Hall, Andrew Todd

Premise:
The Ghost Shark shows up in a city to terrorize innocent victims and only one ghost shark expert can stop it.

My Take:
This was the second bill of a bad movie night for me and the wife. It's a ludicrous concept that borders being rather genius. Dont get me wrong, this is a bad movie, but is't without a tad bit of charm.

Beast of Whitehall (2016)

Director: Seth Breedlove

Premise:
The investigation of a Bigfoot like creature sighting in upstate New York in 1976.

As with all of the director's documentaries in the Small Town Monster series, this provides a thorough investigation on what may have happened on this famed night and let's the viewer draw their own conclusions.

Premise:

This fan made short film is better than many of the Hollywood produced sequels/reboots of the Friday the 13th franchise. The movie looks great and the story ties in all the best aspects of the Jason lore while leaving the hokiness behind. This is a solid effort all around.

Annabelle: Creation (2017)

Starring: Anthony LaPaglia, Mirando Otto, Samara Lee, Lulu Wilson
Director: David F. Sandberg

Premise:
A doll maker's daughter dies in a car accident. Twelve years later he and his wife open their large house to a group of orphans. The youngest soon becomes a target of a possessed doll.

My Take:
I actually liked this prequel better than the first prequel. It has a lot more natural creepiness and scares. The two movies tie in together in fine fashion at the end. My big complaint is there could have been a little bit more with how the doll got possessed instead of just of just telling the audience.

Starring: Kristen Stewart
Director: Olivier Assayas

Premise:
A medium/personal shopper for a rich woman awaits a message about the afterlife from her twin who recently died. She begins receiving strange text messages but it seems to be from another person.

My Take:
The movie tries to build up tension but ultimate it rather tame, as is the one true paranormal scene. It's sort of hovers around does it want to be about a sister in mourning or a stalker thriller. It's a slow paced film that wont be for all viewers.
