Premise:
On his first day of walking on a zombie movie, a real zombie outbreak occurs leaving the crew fighting for their lives.

My Take:
This zom-com manages to rise above it's short comings and be fairly entertaining.

Premise:
A group of kids find an ancient song that allows demons to takeover the Earth

My Take:
Plenty of splatter and comedy in this flick. There's a good portrayal by the cast for a story which has familiar tones. It's enjoyable film but wanted a little more out of it.

Housebound (2014)

Premise:
A woman gets put under house arrest in the home she grew up in and becomes a nuisance to her mother and step-father... until she discovers the house may be haunted

My Take:
I pretty slick mystery which uses horror tropes to ramp up the suspense and comedy. It hits the right notes at the right time.

Rating: So Good

Wound (2010)

Premise:
A woman murders her incestuous father. Then her thought for dead at birth daughter from the relationship shows up making the woman think she is being possessed. 

My Take:
The movie is completely fractured and makes little sense. I suppose it's because the directors wants the viewer to get inside the mind of the fragile main character. And I think there is even some sort of possesion involved. However, none of it really work. Often I felt like it was trying to shock and sicken just for the sake of doing so.   
There is some nice camera work creating on overall surreal feeling.

The Devil's Rock (2011)

Premise:
Soldiers raid a beach in the South Pacific to find it occupied by a member of the SS, lots of dead bodies, and a prisoner who is actually a demon.

My Take:
A good tale surrounding the Nazi's use of supernatural elements during WWII. Great chemistry between the main characters.
