~Mind Blowing: Search for this movie immediately. It can only be described as pure greatness and possible an instant classic.

~So Good: Highly recommended because for one reason or another it stands out above the usual fair. Put the movie on your radar as it wont disappoint.

~In the Middle: The movie is a nothing special, average affair. It may entertain in the short term but it will be easily forgettable in the long haul.

~Warning: This movie is a cliched driven slop of familiar territory. Only watch if you're really of fan of this type of material.

~Steaming Pile: The movie is absolute garbage, a complete bore, and not worth the time or effort.

Autumn Blood (2014)

Starring: Sophie Love, Peter Stormare, Gustaf Skarsgard, Samuel Vauramo
Director: Markus Blunder

Premise:
Two kids in the mountains keep their mother's death a secret until the oldest girl is sexually assaulted by one of the local villagers who then wants to cover it up.

My Take:
Allegory galore with this loss of innocence tale that is beautifully shot. Despite having virtually no dialog creates well rounded main characters.

Rating: In the middle

Goodnight Mommy (2015)

Starring: Susanne Wuest, Elias Schwarz, Luka Schwarz

Premise:
Twins start to think their mother, who is recovering from facial surgery, is not their real mother. One of the them will goes to extreme lengths to prove it.

My Take:
A creepy flick that moves slowly but plants disturbing seeds along the way and manages to keep the viewer engaged.

Rating: So Good

Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies (2016)

Premise:
A mysterious toxic waste turns animals and people into zombies at a resort in the Swiss Alps.

My Take:
This zombie comedy has a few moments but ultimately it's a lot of things seen before in far better flicks

Blood Glacier (2013)

Premise:
A group of scientists find liquid in a glacier which causes animal mutations.

My Take:
A better movie than I expected with solid practical effects. Yes, there are some things that are spelled out clearly or make a lot of sense (especially character's decisions) but it managed to keep me entertained.

Angst (1983)

Starring: Erwin Leder
Director: Gerald Kargl

Premise:
A murder released from prison immediately goes on another killing spree.

My Take:
It's a rather fascinating movie as you watch this very disturbed killer fall deeper into insanity as he tries to "work out" his issues by murdering others. As things unwind and dont go as planned, the guy goes really loses it and creates a bit of levity. Extremely graphic and gory.

Rating: In the middle
