My Take:
This is a strange, modern giallo that throws a lot back at its predecessors.

My Take:

Premise:
An actor who killed his father as a youth brings his girlfriend to his home estate for the weekend to meet his mother. Old memories and truths and death +await.

My Take:
Awkward sex scenes, Oedipus complex, and lots of confusing fill this hard to find giallo.

Giallo In Venice (1979)

Premise:
A police inspector is investigating a double murder of a married couple. He discovers the husband a sexual deviant. Soon more body pile up causing the detective frustration.

My Take:
A sexual deviant runs amok in Venice. So does a serial killer. And a detective tries to figure it out. The movie has many sex scenes that run too long and most are violent in nature. It takes away from what little story there is in the movie. It's a sleazy mess.

Premise:
Bodies start stacking up around a grieving, washed up writer writer and his wife.

My Take:
While it's not one of the best giallo's of the time period the movie is still worth a watch, if nothing else for the striking Edwige Fenech. There is not much to the mystery and is more just one red herring after another until the climax.

My Take:
The biggest problem with the movie is the unlikeable characters. Therefore you dont really care about them getting murdered or who is doing it.

My Take:
A feast for the visual and auditory senses. It can be challenging at times, and confusing, but the creative duo pulls off another modern giallo

Premise:
A film editor gets caught in the middle of murders while cutting his latest movie.

My Take:
The team of Astro Six does it again with a wild homage to 70's Italian giallo movies. They do an great job of playing within the rules of the genre while firmly holding tongue in cheek and going for a little shock value. This group clearly has fun making films and it shows on screen.

Berberian Sound Studio (2012)

Premise:
A sound engineer working on an Italian horror movie starts to think real life and movies blend together.

My Take:
There is a lot to love about the movie. It is filmed beautifully. The sound is amazing and adds to the atmospheric depth. The cast is great too. The story... well kind of the typical Italian Giallo film where it's style over logic and substance. And sometimes that is fine with me.

My Take:
The movie is sort like a Italian giallo film mixed with Jess Franco sensuality. That means a decent mystery with lots of overly long scenes with nude women. It wont be for every viewer's liking.

Deep In the Woods (2000)

Premise:
A group of performing artists come to a remote mansion to put on the play of Little Red Riding Hood for a wealthy man and his son. They stay overnight and one by one get murdered.

My Take:
I was impressed with most of the movie. The final act was a bit of a let down for me, but a lot of suspense and wackiness leading up to it. The movie is heavily influenced by the giallo masters Argento and Bava with plenty of red herrings to the viewer guessing.

Premise:
An Ambassador's wife returns to her home only to find out a mysterious man is murdering her friends.

My Take:
I thought this was an above average giallo. Maybe it was the extra splash of pervision/eroticism or maybe I simply found myself being smittened over the gorgeous lead, Edwige Fenech. All the elements of a giallo mystery are present here and it's done in a slick manner. Just enough twists and turn to keep you guessing.

My Take:
A decent giallo where I liked the set up and execution of the story. It's a little creepier than many movies of its type. Unfortunately it's not hard to figure out the villain.

The Bloodstained Shadow (1978)

Premise:
A man comes home in an attempt to solve his nightmares and to visit his brother, who is a priest. Upon his return murders start up and are seemingly connected with that of a young girl from years ago.

My Take:
A run of the mill giallo which does have sort of a shocking twist at the end.
The setting of Vienna is a nice location and not often seen on film.

Who Saw Her Die? (1972)

Premise:
The daughter of a famous artist is murdered in a remote village. The case is similar to a murder from a few years earlier. This time the parents perform their own investigation to get answers.

My Take:
While it's a decent mystery and has some beautiful terrian, the movie just didn't hold my interest as much as other giallo. It might be because I found the lead actors annoying.

The Pyjama Girl Case (1977)

Premise: 
A woman's body is found on a beach burned. A retired detective forces his way onto the investigation to solve the case.

My Take:
What makes the film a good watch is the two different stories. One about the old detective and the second about a woman's trouble with her lovers. Naturally the two tales meet up in the end without any real surprises, but it's done well. 
The lead actress is fabulous and it's always great to see vets of the golden age of Hollywood chew up scenery in their later years of life.

My Take:
What I found most interesting in this giallo is how the killer paralyzes the victim. Other than that it's a typical giallo. But I do enjoy those.
