Proud to admit that I am a horror junkie.
However, my definition of what falls under the realm of horror entertainment is fairly wide. Horror is an emotion experienced differently by individuals.
These are short reviews of the movies, television series, novels, comics, albums, and any thing else which crosses my path if I feel like falls into the wide world of horror entertainment.

~Mind Blowing: Search for this movie immediately. It can only be described as pure greatness and possible an instant classic.
~So Good: Highly recommended because for one reason or another it stands out above the usual fair. Put the movie on your radar as it wont disappoint.
~In the Middle: The movie is a nothing special, average affair. It may entertain in the short term but it will be easily forgettable in the long haul.
~Warning: This movie is a cliched driven slop of familiar territory. Only watch if you're really of fan of this type of material.
~Steaming Pile: The movie is absolute garbage, a complete bore, and not worth the time or effort.
Premise:
A sleazy hotel has defected condoms that kill people
My Take:
The movie doesn't take itself seriously and that's about the only saving grace. It's a classic Troma flick that some will love and others will despise.

Premise:
An anthology of tales dealing with death taking place on each day of the week.
My Take:
I always feel the same way after watching a movie by this director. Gross out and not into what I just watched yet enamored because their is a definite style and them to all of the director's work. It's going to be hit or miss for viewers just know the subject matter is intense and the gore is excessive and realistic.

Premise:
Three tales from German directors that revolve around love and death.
My Take:
The fist story is typical Buttgereit, It's over the top gore and just nasty about a lonely woman who has a man tied up in her room.
The second story has a decent tale with a couple being attacked by thugs. With the help of a talisman they are able to body switch and turns the tables.
The third story was my favorite as it was the right amount of creepy and bizarre. A man finds secret club where a drug gives him the ultimate sexual experience. The side effects come soon after.

Director: Til Kleinert
Premise:
A police officer in a rural German community is tracking a wolf that terrorizing the area. Only he finds out what he is hunting is not quite a wolf after all.
My Take:
The movie has new twist on werewolf lore. It's intriguing enough to watch and the director creates an eerie mood for the viewer.
Premise:
A gay serial killer of teenage boys in 1920's Germany likes to drink their blood and sell the meat on the market. The police set a trap to catch the maniac.
My Take:
While the subject matter is quite disturbing, as well as more than a few scenes, it is never done in an exploitative way. Still it is a tough movie to set through until the end and one left this viewer with little satisfaction.

Premise:
A group of people gather in a country house where they precede to bring out the worst characters in each other
My Take:
German art house horror is the term that comes to mind. The running time for the movie is too long. There is some ghastly imagery throughout combined with a chopped up narrative but it's not enough to save it for me.
Premise:
The son of the first fallen angel has visions of his past lives and tries to reincarnate his dead wife with a mystical book. Instead he unleashes the dead.
My Take:
The movie is kind of all over the place with the story and the flashbacks, but it does contain lots of viscera and gore gags.

Premise:
A man voluntarily gives himself up to another man to be eaten.
My Take:
I guess this is sort of an art house shock flick based on a famous case from Germany. There is minimal dialog. There is also graphic scenes of sex and devouring body parts which will surely turn away viewers. At the end, I really just found the movie boring.

Premise:
A group of models go camping to celebrate a birthday. Soon after they get attacked by strangers. One of the friends is running late and gets lost in the woods where she finds a family living in a old factory. And guess what they are serving for dinner.
My Take:
The movie combines a lot of different cliches seen before in horror cinema. And it can be a bit of mess at times with logic gaps. But I still found myself intrigued with this flick.

Director: Tim Fehlbaum
Premise:
Global temperature has risen to the point where drinking water has dried up and the sun's ray are toxic. A family makes their way across Germany in search for shelter.
My Take:
A decently plotted movie which doesn't add a lot to the subgenre but manages to keep things interesting. Great cinemaphotography in each frame.
Premise: A brother tells his young sister two morbid bed time stories. One about a serial killer on a blind date and the other about a murderous priest
My Take: An ultra low budget movie with tons of gore and blood which will make some people happy. But the stories aren't great and neither is the acting.
Premise:
A serial killer falls off a ladder and while he slowly slips to death he recalls past events in his life.
My Take:
Not a fan of the director's Nekromantic movies but gave this one a shot. It contains some of the some gruesome graphic imagery. The entire dreamy state of the movie becomes almost hypnotic.
In the end, well let's just say it's not my kind of flick.
Synopsis:
A clan of female vampires induct the new member while a police officer is determined to find her.
My Take:
The movie started out interesting but went no where quick. Girl reminds vampire of daughter. Cop falls for girl. Basically a lot of cop chases vampire action which I found rather mundane.
Perhaps you'll enjoy it more than me.
Synopsis:
A man goes to his former girlfriends apartment to drop off keys when suddenly a zombie outbreak occurs. We watch as the few people left in the complex try to band together for their lives.
My Take:
The movie adds its own spin to the normal zombie tale and comes up with a few fresh, creative twists. It starts out full bore and rarely lets up to the end. Good special effects and make up too.
