Premise:
A brother and sister find their way into an abandoned building inhabited by a strange man who makes them do perverse things in order to stay.

My Take:
Maybe one could describe this as art house psychological body horror erotica? The performances are outstanding and loads of weird stuff happening... and graphic sex.

Premise:
A man comes home to find his wife missing. As he attempts to find out what happen, he goes farther into a weird world of sexual desires.

My Take:
A feast for the visual and auditory senses. It can be challenging at times, and confusing, but the creative duo pulls off another modern giallo

Under the Skin (2014)

Premise:
An alien poses as a female and drives around Scotland seducing young men to feed from. After awhile she starts to develop feelings.

My Take:
A very slow and plodding movie. Basically the same thing happens over and over for the first sixty minutes. Drive around, talk to a guy, take him back to your hide out, and absorb his life force. Honestly, it is rather boring. At least the movie picks up a bit in the final act. The movie does look great from a cinematic stand point and Mrs Scarlett walks around in the buff a few times. Are those enough things to keep one's interest? That I cannot answer.

Dracula's Fiancee (2002)

AKA: La Fiancee de Dracula

Premise:
A pair of hunters are lead to a group of strange nuns who are holding the future bride of Dracula.

My Take:
The movie is filled with all the trademark Rollin: naked women, dreamy sequences, and style over substance. The man is a true aueter. While this is one of the more straight forward tales he's made, it's simply not very interesting.

Epidemic (1987)

Director: Lars Von Tier


Premise:
Two writers write a screenplay about an epidemic wiping out all humanity while an actual epidemic starts up around them.

My Take:
Like most of the director's films, the story moves very slow and requires concentration to watch. And if you make to the end, you be somewhat confused and entertained.It's interesting to see how the two linked tales play out. Sometimes in rather amusing fashion. Shot in black and white, the film has a very German Expressionism feel to it.

The Oregonian (2012)

Premise:
A gets in a car wreck and wanders around for help.

My Take:
One word: boring. The first twenty minutes is nothing but a bloody girl walking through the woods screaming for help complete with an annoying audio overlay. Then comes several weird characters in snippets. Then it's over.
It comes off trying to be like a David Lynch movie and fails miserably. This might have been better as a forty minute long experimental film instead of a feature.
