~Mind Blowing: Search for this movie immediately. It can only be described as pure greatness and possible an instant classic.

~So Good: Highly recommended because for one reason or another it stands out above the usual fair. Put the movie on your radar as it wont disappoint.

~In the Middle: The movie is a nothing special, average affair. It may entertain in the short term but it will be easily forgettable in the long haul.

~Warning: This movie is a cliched driven slop of familiar territory. Only watch if you're really of fan of this type of material.

~Steaming Pile: The movie is absolute garbage, a complete bore, and not worth the time or effort.

Premise:

My Take:
There's some witty exchange between the two characters with not ever lying to his date.

Postpartum (2016)

Premise:
A mother is convinced her children are possessed. She leaves them in care of a nanny and returns to find them dead. She is taken to a mental institution where she starts to see her dead children.

My Take:
The short movie tosses a lot at the viewer in a short amount of time. Not all of it works.

Premise:
Six strangers wake up in a bunker, under surveillance and told they have two hours to come to an agreement on who will be the lone survivor.

My Take:
A bunch of unlikeable characters talk and talk and talk. It's boring and even when the big reveal happens, the audience doesn't really care.

Premise:
A psychologist, a crime reporter, and a secretary for the police chief investigate a serial killer in 19th century New York City.

My Take:
A brutal look at the time period and early police investigation. The show has plenty of twists and turns to keep it interesting.

Premise:
After nearly drowning, a woman finds herself unable to move on from the incident, and develops hydrophobia. Her friends stage an intervention to help her recover but instead unleash a sinister force.

My Take:
A fairly original story, supernatural killer, and strong characters make this a decent flick.

Premise:
A teenager and his stepfather set out to find his missing grandfather who they think has found mythical island.

My Take:
The movie is loosely based off the classic Jules Verne story that's full of a lot of special effects. Definitely catered towards kids.

Premise:
 A door to door salesman makes his way through desert looking for clients. He begins to harassed by strangers who perceive him as a child killer. He is responsible for the heinous crimes or simply having a breakdown?

My Take:
The movie does a good job of keeping the viewer the edge and trying to figure out what's happening. Does expect a lot of clear cut answers

My Take:
I have to this entire story angle with Negan has been a true disappointment. It's a shame too because it should have been epic. It was too drawn out, for little reason, and some of the characters action constantly counterdict themselves. Interested to see what happens next.

My Take:

Channel Zero: Butchers Block, Season 3 (2018)

Premise:
A young social worker takes a job in a small town to get away from her schizophrenic mother and in hopes her older sister symptoms for the same mental disease get better. She stumbles upon a small town full of disappearances, a haunting rumor about the town's founder, and strange staircase in the middle of the park.

My Take:
Simply put this is another excellent and creepy season. There are so many disturbing scenes and it never takes you to the place you think it may be heading. Plus Rutger Hauer simply chews up scene after scene.

Rating: So Good

My Take:
The movie does a good job of adding tension and trying to make the audience think it's a ghost story.

Premise:

My Take:
Honestly, it's a long and mostly boring movie. Nothing really gets exciting until the second half. If you are a fan of the original and stick with it then there will be a satisfied (but not overwhelmed) the end.

My Take:
Most of the gags fell short for me as did the weird love triangle subplot. I usually enjoy these types of wacky, low budget movies but this one just misses too many times.

Premise:
A woman in an unhappy marriage is taken to a meteorite in the woods that contains a mysterious tentacled creature that causes pleasure and makes pain.

My Take:
The movie has a lot deals with a lot of messed up family drama - the woman's husband is cheating on her with her brother - and puts a Lovecraftian spin on things. It's definitely a unique story.

My Take:
Well if this was truly the end of the X-Files then I will left a little disappointed. The big overall story arc was a letdown. However, the middle episodes were classic X-Files.

My Take:
A fine sequel which is even more intense than the original with the cast playing it perfectly.
