~Mind Blowing: Search for this movie immediately. It can only be described as pure greatness and possible an instant classic.

~So Good: Highly recommended because for one reason or another it stands out above the usual fair. Put the movie on your radar as it wont disappoint.

~In the Middle: The movie is a nothing special, average affair. It may entertain in the short term but it will be easily forgettable in the long haul.

~Warning: This movie is a cliched driven slop of familiar territory. Only watch if you're really of fan of this type of material.

~Steaming Pile: The movie is absolute garbage, a complete bore, and not worth the time or effort.

Expedition Unknown: Search for the Afterlife (2018)

Starring: Josh Gates

Premise:
A search for the answer to is there life after death.

My Take:
Like most of Expedition Unknown's quest, the substance is quite interesting as is the information gathered in the show. And in this instance I think Gates sums the whole thing up perfectly.

Rating: In the middle

The Void (2017)

Starring: Aaron Poole, Kenneth Welsh, Kathleen Munroe, Art Hindle, Ellen Wong, Daniel Fathers,
Director: Jeremy Gillespie, Steven Kostanski

Premise:
A cop finds a wounded man on the road and takes him to the hospital. Soon after hooded figures surround the building and the few people inside start losing their minds. And that's just the beginning of the strangeness.

My Take:
Great practical effects combined with an intense, head scratcher of a story. Dont look for a lot of answers to what is going on and just enjoy the mess up the movie takes you on.

Rating: So Good

Premise:
An animated and modern take on the story of Dante's Inferno where a man travels through the seven layers of Hell.

My Take:
An often humorous and over the top take on the story filled with deviant imagery and ripping on the modern world.

Rating: In the middle

Intruders, Season 1 (2014)

Starring: James Frain, Mira Sorvino, Millie Bobby Brown, Torry Kittles, John Simm, Sonya Salomaa

Premise:
A man's wife comes up missing. Her tracks her down to find out she part of secret society who knows the key to immortality. And a small child starts having memories of a past life and searches for the society.

My Take:
An intense story with a lot of moving parts that come together to a satisfying conclusion. And the show has a stellar cast too. It will be interesting to see where the series goes if there is a season 2.

Rating: So Good
