My Take:

My Take:
This is always an enjoyable series and is good for brushing up on some of histories biggest legends. I never take much of it too seriously though.

Favorite Episode:
"Tracking Tasmania's Tiger" - New clues suggest the thought to be extinct Tasmanian Tiger is still alive in the remote parts of Tasmania.

Based on a true story of the expedition, the movie has breath taking scenery and great special effects. The outstanding cast holds it all together through horrific event.

Premise:

My Take:
A solid cast heads up a believable tale about a pissed off grizzly. It's well paced and hits the right marks.

There's a reason I avoided this sequel. It's not very good and not very entertaining. At least it doesn't have Jon Voight playing a Hispanic.

Premise:
Season 5 has Tyrion Lannister fleeing aligning with Danereys Targaryen after killing his father, Danereys is losing control of city as an uprising is starting, Cersei Lannister plots a way to rid her family from the Tyrell family line by using a religious sect which eventually leads to her persecution, Jon Snow attempts to bring the Wildings and the Night's Watch together to fight the Walkers, Stannis Baratheon tries to reclaim the North as the new king, Sansa Stark is wedded to the the abusive Ramsay Snow, and Arya Stark finds a mystic to train her in the ways of an assassin.

My Take:
I honestly found much of this season rather mediocre. Then the death, destruction, carnage, and big plot twists of the last three episodes happened. It sucked me right back into it. What a build up.

Premise:
Season fours has King Joffrey marrying Margret Tyrell and still being a pompus, spoiled brat. Tyrion Lannister tried for treason. The Night's Watch trying to prevent Wildings from crossing the wall. Daenerys Targaryen marches her army, collecting more of a following until stopping after taking control of a city. Anyra Stark stays out of harms way due to her capture The Hound. Sansa Stark manages to escape to the safety of her aunt's kingdom with the helpf of Littlefinger. And Stannis Baratheon continuing to use black magic to gain his rightful claim to the throne.

My Take:
Oh my the season started out with surprises and kept right on going with more until the end. There's an epic battle between the Wildings and the Night Watch. Many epic deaths, including some major characters once again. And we start seeing some characters change and grow. The show is moving strong after four season and seems to have a lot of story left to tell.

My Take:
While I enjoyed this segment of the new trilogy a little more the first one, the movie still seemed a tad long. Amazing special effects as always with these movies.

Premise:
A United Nations investigator is called upon to help figure out what caused pandemic which turns people into zombies and to see if there is a cure.

My Take:
Zombie apocolypse breaks out. Brad Pitt goes off to help solve the problem, gets seperated from his family, then spends the rest of the movie trying to get back to them. This is a boring mess of a flick. And it's too bad because the source material is outstanding.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

Premise:
A young hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, is persuaded by a wizard, Gandolf, to accompany a band of dwarves to Smaug, the dwarves former home which a dragon has since took over.

My Take:
Honestly, I was a disappointed with the movie. It look greats and every thing, especially the action sequences, but it's feels like too stretched out and long. The first forty minutes is the relucant Baggins preparing for a journey he doesn't want to go on (which is a tad boring) and then next two hours is the group falling into one hardship into another (which is tad much). It never lets up as the group battles giants to trolls to goblins to orcs. It's worth watching and maybe you will enjoy it more than me.

Premise:
A team of oil workers are on the way home when their plane crashes in the Alaska wilderness. The surviving men must fight the elements and a pack of wolves who turf they've landed on.

My Take:
A top notch cast, Neeson has never been better, rolls a solid script with the struggles of man vs nature, man vs beast, man vs man, and man vs himself.
It's not a perfect film but it sucked me in and really enjoyed it.
