Premise:
A former cop, now basic derelict is summoned by his estranged daughter's imaginary friend to find her after she is kidnapped.

My Take:
What a head trip of a series. It's over the top in every way with violence, comedy, and over all disturbing shit... and often at the same time.

Rating: So Good

Preacher, Season 2 (2017)

Premise:
Season 2 has Jesse and the gang travel to New Orleans in search for God, who seems to be missing. Along the way he meets new allies and new foes

My Take:
If I compare the series to the source material, it makes me really frustrated. If I take it as a series, it is still just average. Bizarre and over the top most of the time, but rather mundane.

Outcast, Season 2 (2017)

Premise:
A Reverend and a young man fight off demons in a small West Virginia community.

My Take:
While the first season deals main with the struggle between the main character and his powers to cast out demons; season two shows just how big threat the demon takeover and the lengths the demons will go to make it happen. Lots of twists and turns happen in the season with an excellent cast.

Rating: So Good

Jessica Jones, Season 1 (2015)

Premise:
A woman with the gift of super strength tries to cope with her falling victim to a man who can control minds by being a private investigator. Until one day her captor returns. Then she chooses to fight back.

My Take:
Another hit by the Marvel/Netflix team.  This is a dark series that hits the perfect balance of drama, comedy, and action. It help build this expanding universe of meta humans that Marvel is bringing to life through the small and big screens. An outstanding cast with precise direction and storytelling.

Rating: So Good

Preacher, Season 1 (2016)

Premise:
A preacher bonds with a the offspring of an angel and demon. He develops want he thinks is "the word of God", allowing him to control people. Angels come to retrieve the offspring and the preacher small, Texas town will never be the same.

My Take:
I found myself wanting to enjoy the series more than I did. Perhaps I just couldn't separate myself from the awesomeness of the Garth Ennis graphic novels. The entire first season felt like Jesse meandering about without a true purpose. The show also delegates Cassidy and Tulip as secondary characters instead of the mainstays they truly are to the story. The final episode gives me hope for a more interesting second season as the group leaves to find God.
