Proud to admit that I am a horror junkie. However, my definition of what falls under the realm of horror entertainment is fairly wide. Horror is an emotion experienced differently by individuals. These are short reviews of the movies, television series, novels, comics, albums, and any thing else which crosses my path if I feel like falls into the wide world of horror entertainment.

This is a weird flick that mostly works. Strong lead characters help pave the way for the awkwardness that unfolds as the movie plays out. It's a unique story to say the least.

My Take:
What starts out like a bad sex comedy quickly turns into sort of a home invasion movie then turns again into twisted scenario involving murder and cannibals. Throughout it all the movie does remain entertaining and is far better than it has any right to be.

Premise:
An actress working in a werewolf movie starts to get too involved in the role

At the core the movie is really a relationship drama with lots of horror overtones. I suppose it's mumblecore horror and definitely not for everyone. The performances are solid with the lines between reality and fantasy often blurred.

There is enough here to keep most viewers interested. Just don't dig too deep into things. It is a superhero movie afterall. It also sets up the DC Comics franchise.

Premise:
A man goes to visit his brother at his new desert home, which just happens to be on the site of an Indian Massacre. They accidentally unleash a demon and fight to put an end to it.

The movie ended up being better than I anticipated. Everything is played rather tongue in cheek with Park and Agee playing polar opposites of each. Their dynamic and comedic timing makes the movie work.

Worst Horror Movie Ever Made (2005)
Starring: Bill Zebub,
Director: Bill Zebub
Premise:
After accidentally killing their friend during a game of cards, a couple goes on the lamb. Along the way they encounter vampires, crazy military men, a serial killer, and lots of other weirdness.
My Take:
Crude, rude, and made to offend... just as the director intended. It's low budget flick full of nudity, horror cliches, and offensive scenarios. But it's supposed to be that way. Though through it all there are some good social commentary being made. And I always admire a director who makes exactly the type of film they want to make.
