Proud to admit that I am a horror junkie. However, my definition of what falls under the realm of horror entertainment is fairly wide. Horror is an emotion experienced differently by individuals. These are short reviews of the movies, television series, novels, comics, albums, and any thing else which crosses my path if I feel like falls into the wide world of horror entertainment.

The first movie in the series was a guilty pleasure so I figured why not continue! There's a lot of the same things happening here. Over the top gore, nudity, pure craziness, and underlying social commentary are abound. Definitely not a flick for all viewers but it will no doubt find it's cult following.

Director: Nicolas Winding Refn
Premise:
A young girl comes to LA to be a model. Soon she starts making waves but not before making other models wanting the "it factor" she seems to possess.
My Take:
Honestly not much happens in the movie for the first hour. And the intensity that does ramp up in the third act really comes out of nowhere. As with all movies by the director the movie contains beautiful cinematography and color palette against scenes of violent outburst (both physical and emotional). The end results is a movie that may be interesting but fails to be engaging.
