Premise:

My Take:
The movie has some good gore but lays a little too much on the viewer way too quickly before wrapping it all up.

Premise:
A couple get into an accident in the Pacific Northwest and find themselves at the mercy of a group of local hunters and a mysterious creature in the woods

My Take:
Sort of  different take on the Bigfoot movie. The creature and its lore is far more interesting than the cardboard cut out characters.

Premise:

My Take:
This movie is Cage at his nutty best and while the basic story is interesting there isn't a lot of substance behind the whole thing.

Premise:
A documentary crew goes to the sight of a haunted house attraction where several people died to do a supposed malfunction in order to find out the truth.

My Take:
The movie surprised me. It's well made as it switches between the past found footage and the current documentary team. There are a lot of creepy moments in the film too which keeps the viewer engrossed.

The Sinner, Season 2 (2018)

Premise:
Season two has a young boy murdering two people thought to be his parents. Instead it is revealed that they all belong to a cult and there is much more to the story. Detective Harry Ambrose returns to home town to help out with the investigation.

My Take:
Another season full of twists and turns where the original story isn't quite what it seems to be. Though a lot of it becomes a little predictable, the show does enough to keep the viewer interested.

Demon House (2018)

Premise:
A paranormal investigator buys a house in Gary, IN that is called a portal to Hell and has had numerous people claiming something is not right in the house.

My Take:
I have never been a fan of Bagans' Ghost Adventures series. However this unique case interested me as it's in the near the area where I currently reside. No doubt some of it is extremely creepy and disturbing, but dont look for any resolution. There is really no deep digging into the past of the house and what may have caused the haunting or the socioeconomic situation of the people in the area. What the viewer is left with is just as many questions as we started with on the subject... and a good scare.

My Take:
Another movie that sort of deconstructs the slasher genre but it does so in a charming and fairly unique way.
