~Mind Blowing: Search for this movie immediately. It can only be described as pure greatness and possible an instant classic.

~So Good: Highly recommended because for one reason or another it stands out above the usual fair. Put the movie on your radar as it wont disappoint.

~In the Middle: The movie is a nothing special, average affair. It may entertain in the short term but it will be easily forgettable in the long haul.

~Warning: This movie is a cliched driven slop of familiar territory. Only watch if you're really of fan of this type of material.

~Steaming Pile: The movie is absolute garbage, a complete bore, and not worth the time or effort.

River Monsters: Season 1 (2009)

Starring: Jeremy Wade

Zoologist and expert angler Jeremy Wade, searches the globe for fresh water monster fish and attempts to get to the facts behind the folklore and legends of these creatures

My Take:
I've caught this show a time or two and liked it but never really sought out to to watch the whole series. Then after a great little article in Rue Morgue magazine on the show and how it capitalizes on fear of the unknown lurking in the water, I decided to seek out the series. And I'm glad because the captivating. 

Favorite Episode:
"Amazon Flesh Eaters" - Mr. Wade once again explores the Amazon River for a catfish with a reputation for eating human flesh.

Rating: So Good
