Hidden (2011)

Starring: Sean Clement, Dawn Ford
Director: Antoine Thomas

Premise:
After the death of his mother, a scientist performing experiments dealing with addictions, a man inherits the former monastery turned research center. He and some friends travel there to check it out and soon finds its ghastly inhabitants and the true research his mother performed.

My Take:
On occasions I start watching a movie with the feeling it will be a total waste of time. On occasions my initial feeling are wrong and it's why I keep watching those type of movies. This is one of those movies.

It takes a couple of tiresome themes, such "cabin in the woods", and brings in a good mad scientist back drop to make a fairly original and interesting the story. Sure the characters could have been a bit more rounded out but I've seen worse. Great location too.
Definitely much better than I anticipated.

Rating: In the middle
